FCA Canada Reveals Unique-to-Canada 2019 Ram 1500 Sport

Offered only in Canada, the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Sport features unique styling that includes a choice of nine monochromatic exterior treatments, a black billet bar grille with matte black Ram lettering, standard bi-LED headlights with black inner housings coordinated with the LED signature daytime running lamps and LED fog lamps, black window trim, and blacked out badges. Underneath all new 2019 Ram 1500 models is an all-new frame constructed of advanced materials like high strength steel for increased stiffness and durability that delivers up to 12,750 pounds of towing capability. Despite being stronger, the new chassis is also lighter which contributes to its high 2,300 pounds of payload capacity. Ride quality continues to be a competitive advantage for the Ram 1500, as its coil spring rear suspension carries into the new model.
Powered by the legendary 5.7 L HEMI V8 that delivers a potent 395-horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque that exhales through an integrated dual exhaust system unique to the Sport. Power is delivered through the stout 845RE eight-speed automatic transmission. The Ram 1500 Sport is available either as a 4x2 or 4x4 model, with an on-demand transfer case that operates in Auto, 2HI, 4HI, and 4LO settings with the option of either Quad or Crew Cab configurations.
The "too cool for the US" model rides on standard black 20-inch aluminum wheels, with the option of upgrading 22-inch 'Black Noise' alloys. At the rear is an all-new dampened aluminum tailgate with integrated spoiler that features black Sport-exclusive badging.
The 2019 Ram 1500 Sport features an all-black cabin with black headliner, satin light black chrome highlights, real metal trim and a diamond plate-look on the centre stack also seen in the Ram Rebel. Unique to the Canadian version are power heated sport cloth and vinyl seats with a mesh fabric. Optional leather heated and ventilated seats also feature a unique texture reserved for Canadian models.
The 2019 Ram 1500 Sport comes standard with power adjustable pedals, CD player, heated steering wheel and much more. Ram understands the needs of the work truck owner so the 2019 Sport comes standard with a new reconfigurable console with space for a laptop or tablet and hanging files, along with large storage bins. Crew Cab models can be ordered with an optional dual-pane sunroof, which also offers a reclining rear seat and flat rear floor.
Proving standard connectivity and infotainment is the class-leading 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. Uconnect allows owners of smartphones and devices which utilize Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to sync with the system. The 7-inch center driver information display can be configured to provide detailed information on fuel consumption, trailer braking operation, and system status of the available Active-Level four-corner air suspension.
Safety and security are paramount in Ram trucks so over 100 standard and available safety and security features are included in the Ram 1500 Sport. Safety features include ParkView back-up camera, push-button start, tire fill alert and an stability control system that offers brake assist, rainy day braking, hill start assist, ready alert braking, trailer sway control, and more.
Optional safety features include Blind-spot Monitoring with trailer detection. The Advanced Safety Group which packages adaptive cruise control, Forward Collision Warning with Stop, Lane Departure Warning, Surround View Camera, automatic high beams and ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist is also available.
