Our Favorite Dodge Journey Features
Posted on March 11, 2020
It's not often you find a crossover that can combine fuel efficiency, size, and muscle like the 2016 Dodge Journey. While it is easy to just say that this SUV is the perfect choice for you and your family, it is something else to prove it true. At Caledon Chrysler, we think once you get a look at all of our favorite performance, safety, and comfort features on the 2016 Dodge Journey, you'll agree that there are few midsize crossovers that can do so much, yet be so affordable.
Available in five unique trim level and up to eight bold colours, the 2016 Dodge Journey is incredibly versatile. The first choice you'll face is deciding between front or all-wheel drive. If you plan to do more highway/city driving and less off-road work then front wheel drive will do the trick, otherwise stepping up to all-wheel drive will give you an amazing amount of control and maneuverability on even the most difficult surfaces and terrain.
Next, you need to understand what gives the 2016 Dodge Journey its impressive performance. This SUV is powered by a standard 2.4-liter l4 DOHC 16-valve dual VVT engine that puts out 173 horsepower and 166 lb.-ft. of torque. If that is not enough engine strength, you can add an optional 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 24-valve VVT engine that delivers an impressive 283 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. All trim levels come with a choice of six-speed automatic 62TE transmission or AutoStick automatic transmission, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist, engine block heater, and Kumho brand tires. Thanks to the 9.1L/100 KM highway and 12.7L/100 KM city*, drivers will make fewer stops for gas, which comes in handy on long family trips.
As with all the vehicles available from Caledon Chrysler, safety and the latest technology are critical part of the 2016 Dodge Journey. You and your important passengers will stay safe thanks to the standard supplemental front-seat mounted side airbags, advanced multistage front air bags, active front head restraints, electronic roll mitigation, trailer sway control, and tire pressure monitoring display. To keep you entertained and informed, drivers will absolutely appreciate the Electronic Vehicle Information Centre (EVIC), radio 4.3 multimedia centre with a 4.3-inch touchscreen and 6 speakers, auxiliary input jack and remote USB port, and air conditioning with front dual-zone temperature control and air filtering. To take it to the next level, you can also add a Garmin Navigation System, trip computer with temperature and compass readout, a year of Sirius XM satellite radio, a class leading 8.4-inch touchscreen, and hands-free communication with Bluetooth streaming audio.
While these are only a few of the amazing Dodge Journey features we think it is enough to get you down to Caledon Chrysler at 12435 Highway 50 (Queen St. S.), in Bolton. To learn more about the 2016 Dodge Journey or to schedule a test-drive, please contact us today.
